Finally… i have become a Jedi Master:) well atleast in the term of making my own lightsaber. i have for many years wanted a saber, not to play with i should ad, but just for display purpose:)
Almost everything i made to build this comes from old scrap like broken dvd players and other misc computer stuff, a flashligt that didnt work, only thing i actually bought was the aluminium pipe as the ones i had home wasnt really good enough, though i started this project with those, the pipe was just a plain pipe when i bought it so all the lathing and milling i had to do.

All leds are driven by a Arduino Nano V3 and powered by a 9V battery. i took some time to find the code for the “larson scanner/kit scanner” u know the car in knight rider. i found plenty of them that just had the running lights just turning on/off but its actually little more complicated than that as the leds should fade in and out so it becomes a more smooth flow in it, lucky me arduino have 6 outputs with pwm (Pulse-width modulation) so that was nice:) i also decided to make a crystal chamber on it and that is acually illuminated with real laser from a 3w laser module, i actually ordered a real crystal to put in it but i couldnt hold myself and made one from a prism before and it turned out really grat so ill just keep it as it is. Anyway i think it turned out pretty good, only thing left from these images is some weathering and to make a stand for it.
